🧲 Products & Materials

1.     Are your chalkboards really magnetic?

Yes! Our Chalkboards are made of removable Felt material, flexible iron sheet and PP chalkboard film.

They work great with light magnets and accessories.

The magnets sold on the webpage is specifically designed for the magnetic wall chalkboards and whiteboards.

2.     What sizes do the Magnetic Chalkboards come in?

We are currently producing and selling two sizes of Chalkboards:

  • Size 76x95cm
  • Size 60x95cm

That way we want to make sure, that you can get exactly the size of Chalkboard that fits to YOUR home💛

 3.     Can I get a custom size or color?

No, at the moment we unfortunately only offer the sizes and colors that are available on our website.
🛠️ Installation & Setup

1.     Where can I install the Magnetic Wall Chalkboard?

Our boards can be mounted on most flat and smooth surfaces. However, we recommend avoiding damp or cold areas like basements, as these conditions may reduce the product’s longevity.

2.     What types of walls are NOT suitable for installation of the chalkboards?

  • Textured Walls & Wallpapers
  • Old, cracked or deteriorated Paint/ Wallpaper
  • Newly painted walls – Please wait a minimum of 30 days to apply the chalkboard/ whiteboard if the wall is newly painted.

With the product comes also a small test piece, which you can try and attach to your chosen surface before full application!

If the test piece doesn't stick, the unused magnetic chalkboard can be returned.

3.     Can I hang the chalkboards on other surfaces than a wall?

Yes. The chalkboard scan also be attached to wooden and glass surfaces.

4.     I don’t have the type of wall required - What can I do?

Don’t worry! We’ve thought of that too.

You can easily mount the board onto a smooth MDF plate (or similar panel) instead.

Simply attach the board to the MDF and then mount the MDF to your wall, or simply let it stand against the wall and be easily moveable around the house. This also allows for play and creative learning in every corner of the house!  

5.     How do I install the boards on my wall?

Start by ensuring that the wall and room are suitable for mounting the Chalkboard. Then follow the step-by-step guide here:

 6.     Should the wall be cleaned before installation?

Yes! For the best possible installation, the wall should be free of dust, grease, and moisture. We recommend cleaning the surface thoroughly at least 24 hours before installation and making sure it is completely dry when applying the board.

 7.     The board has started to loosen – what do I do?

Should it really happen that a corner of the board should start to come loose, you can then easily reinforce it using 2-3 mm thick double-sided tape. Clean the area, apply the tape where the adhesive has weakened, and press the board firmly back into place.
🎨 Use & Maintenance

1.     What kind of markers or chalk should I use?

You can use standard chalk or liquid chalk markers.

The chalks we sell are specifically designed and produced for the Magnetic Wall Chalkboards.

2.     Can all types of magnets be used on the boards?

Not necessarily. Our boards have been specially designed with children in mind, which means the magnetic strength has been carefully balanced. While the boards are fully magnetic, they are intentionally not as "high-grip" as industrial metal surfaces — this ensures that even young children can easily move magnets around without frustration or risk.

For the best experience, we recommend using the magnets available on our website, which have been:

3.     How do I clean my chalkboard?

To clean the Chalkboards use a soft damp cloth or sponge.

4.     Are your boards safe for kids?

Yes! All our products are designed with safety in mind and are CE-certified and compliant with EU safety standards.
🧽 Removing the Product from the Wall

1.     Can the chalkboard be removed?

Yes! Contrary to most other chalkboards on the market - Our Magnetic Wall Chalkboards have been designed with flexibility in mind and can be removed and reapplied again somewhere else!

2.     How do I safely remove it?

  • Gently peel from one corner until the whole Chalkboard is off the wall.

⚠️ Note: It is up to the individual customer to assess and test the wall before application of the product. We cannot guarantee damage-free removal and are not liable for any surface damage that may occur.

3.     Can I take down the magnetic wall chalkboard and set it up somewhere else?

YES! Just make sure you have cleaned the Wall before setting it up, and that after removal the sticky Felt Material on the back stays clean from dust and dirt, and it can be reapplied again somewhere else.

4.     if i remove the Chalkboard will there be glue-residue left on my Wall?

No. The Chalkboards have been made with a special sticky material that do not leave glue residue when removed again!

So no need to worry about scrubbing with soap or having to re-paint, as long as you make sure your wall is suitable for the product.

5.     How many times can the Chalkboard be moved/ reapplied?

It depends. Technically if you keep the sticky Felt Material completely clean it can be removed and reapplied MANY times. However the product is also not made to be moved 52 times in a year.

1.     Which countries do you ship to?

We currently ship to customers within:

  • Switzerland & Liechtenstein
  • Selected countries within the EU:

➔ Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium & Luxembourg.

2.     What does shipping costs?

Shipping costs and delivery times vary depending on your location and will be calculated at checkout.

We offer free delivery for orders to:

  • Switzerland & Liechtenstein - above CHF 80
  • Denmark - above DKK 649
  • Germany - above EUR 80
  • Other EU-countries - above EUR 89

3.     How long will it take to receive my order?

Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 1–2 business days (excl. weekends & public holidays). Delivery times depend on your location, but are normally around:

Switzerland & Liechtenstein: 2-4 business days

EU-countries: 1–5 business days

4.     Where are the goods shipped from?

Shipments to Switzerland & Liechtenstein will be sent from Switzerland and shipments to the EU will be sent from our German warehouse location.

This setup offers faster and more reliable delivery for all our customers!

5.     Can I track my order?
Yes, once your order ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking information.

Our goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with their purchase. If this isn't the case, let us know and we'll do our best to work with you to make it right.

1.     Can I return or exchange an item?

Yes, we accept returns within 30 days of delivery for unused items in original packaging. Custom orders are non-returnable. See our Returns & Refunds Policy for full details.

2.     What if my product arrives damaged?

We package our products carefully, but if yours arrives damaged, please take photos and contact us immediately on support@littleartifex.ch. We’ll make it right!
